The Library is fully automated with Purna Library Management Application Software (Library Management System) since its establishment; this software package is an integrated multi-user Library management system that supports all in-house operations of the Library. The Purna Library Management Application consists of modules on Acquisition, Cataloguing, Circulation, Serial Control, Utilities, and OPAC. Retrospective conversion of bibliographic records has been completed and 60,000+ bibliographic records of books and 100+ records of Print Journals are available in the library and can now be accessed through this library management software OPAC. The database of books available in the Library is being updated on day to day basis with details of recently acquired books. Records of all the Library patrons have also been created in the Library Management System. The library is having 12000+ NPTEL video lectures to cater to the needs of users along with the subscription of the Science Direct journal package which gives access to 275 journals. The library is having the membership of DELNET (Developing Library Network- Delhi) for Inter Library Loan facility, through which the library is connected to 7600+ Libraries throughout India and outside India.
Central Library is a part of the Institute-wide network built around a fiber optic Ethernet backbone comprising five routing switches. The library is connected to the backbone through one of the routing switches. The institute backbone in turn is connected to 610 Mbps of Internet bandwidth on leased links from Airtel and BSNL. The Digital Library has 25 PCs and other accessories adequate to cater to the needs of users. PCs are meant for users to access OPAC, databases, e-books, e-journals, and other e-resources. Currently, the reading areas in the Library have Wi-Fi enabled to provide wireless access to the Internet. Users are welcome to use their laptops in the Library. Also, all 25 PCs are connected to links to NPTEL video lectures, which include approximately 12,000+ video lectures along with Kindle Zone for students and faculty members. Apart from the above 25PC's library is having 5 more computers exclusively used for library administrative work. All areas of the Library are covered under CCTV surveillance.

1. Library Orientation program conducted for SY students of all departments, 316 students took part in this orientation program. (13/04/2022)
2. Awareness program on online services provided by Developing Library Network (DELNET) New Delhi, for all students through the NDLI club was conducted; a total of 102 students were present for the program. (20/04/2022)
3. Poster presentation/exhibition on topic important methods of Instructions, conducted in Library reading hall, 33 faculty members and around 372 students visited the exhibition and many of them have taken part as NDLI club members of TKIET Library. (26/04/2022)
4. Poster presentation competition was arranged on the occasion of National Technology Day on the theme- Technology for a sustainable future. 32 students participated in even and 86 took part as NDLI club members of TKIET Library. (11/05/2022)
