NATIONAL CADET CORPS
AIM OF NCC:
The ‘Aims’ of the NCC laid out in 1988 have stood the test of time and continue to meet the requirements expected of it in the current socio–economic scenario of the country. The NCC aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens. Further, it aims at creating a pool of organized, trained and motivated youth with leadership qualities in all walks of life, who will serve the Nation regardless of which career they choose. Needless to say, the NCC also provides an environment conducive to motivating young Indians to join the armed forces.

The motto of NCC is “Unity and Discipline”.

The NCC is a responsive, learning and continuously evolving organization. Its activity is guided by certain Core Values that we endeavor to instill among all ranks of the NCC. These include the following: A sense of patriotic commitment to encourage cadets to contribute to national development.

NCC Unit in TKIET:
TKIET has received an approval for the NCC unit from the NCC HQ Kolhapur w.e.f. December 2020, in self finance mode. The total strength approved is 160 in which 33 % vacancies are reserved for the girl cadets.

OPPORTUNITIES:
It is great opportunities for the Engineers to join the Indian Army, Navy and Air force as a commissioned officer through the Technical entry scheme as well as through special NCC entry scheme after successful completion of the NCC and obtaining minimum ‘B’ grade in the NCC ‘C’ certificate examination.
With this there are lot of opportunities in Military services and private sectors for the NCC cadets.
ACHIEVEMENTS:
Cadet Dafale Tejas Bajirao Regt. No. MH/20/SDA/582704, being selected for Short Service Commission (Technical) (Men) 62ndCourse. After the successful completion of the training he will joined an Indian Army as a Lieutenant.
Cadet Patil Prathmesh Raghunath Regt. No. MH/21/SDA/, being selected for recruitment in the Indian Army for Agniveer (Tech) in the recruiting year 2023-24.
Cadet Pawar Prashant Devidas Regt. No. MH/22/SDA/582826, being selected for recruitment in the Indian Army for Agniveer (Tech) in the recruiting year 2023-24.
